Our Village Hall is available for bookings and has been recently refurbished to a high standard of flexible accommodation. The interior consists of a main hall with a high vaulted roof that retains the original beams, a wooden floor and a carpeted ‘stage’ area reached via two steps, and a kitchen/toilet block.

The Main Hall area measures some 846 square feet, or 78 square metres, of open space. The walls are orange brick and the curtains and blinds cream. This gives our hall a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The stage area carpet is coloured charcoal. There are 60 upholstered chairs, also charcoal, and 10 six-foot cream-coloured tables. This neutral arrangement will match a wide variety of colour schemes, should you wish to introduce them, making it perfect for distinctive lunches, dinners and wedding receptions. The hall has mobile 4g WiFi and is free for those hiring the hall to use. It will support up to 20 devices. On application, we may be able to provide a loudspeaker and microphone, a digital projector and screen to aid presentations. We aspire to introduce a modern audio-visual system in 2021. This project is the subject of our current fundraising appeal.

The kitchen is modern but small, and only suitable for the preparation of refreshments and snacks. There is a wash basin, a microwave and an 8 litre water boiler. Other available catering items are on our equipment list, and hirers may bring their own crockery and cutlery. Should hirers wish it, it is possible to park a catering van in the hall carpark and there is an external double electricity socket near the front door.

There are modern male and female toilets, with disabled and baby-changing facilities and the hall has wheelchair access.

The hall is surrounded by a garden with a grassed area surrounded by a safety fence. This is suitable for a broad variety of outside events; an ideal location for garden or children’s parties. There is a bike rack.
