Film Night Thursday 26th June

Our June film is ‘Bridget Jones – Mad About the Boy’ (15), directed by Michael Morris and starring Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant. After jumping back into the dating pool, single mother Bridget Jones finds herself caught between a younger man and her son's science teacher.

Rotten Tomatoes declares:

• A bittersweet romp about new beginnings with another sparkling turn by Renée Zellweger, Mad About the Boy gracefully closes the book on Bridget Jones' diary.
• Despite all the repeated gags and such, it’s charming—and more emotionally vulnerable than many of its counterparts.

Tom Shone of the Sunday Times writes:

• ‘If anything, the series has improved with age. This may be the best one yet.’

Our film nights are popular community events, so come along and join your fellow Sandleheathers and our good friends from the wider community.

Tickets will be on sale at the village shop at £5 from at least the week before the event, or you can buy on the door at £6.

A beer/wine/soft drinks bar, and tea and coffee will be available from 7.00 pm and the screening will commence at 7.30 pm.
