A modern, well-equipped village hall in Sandleheath

For our July movie, we have chosen the classic musical, 'South Pacific' (U), a 1958 American romantic film based on the 1949 Rodgers and Hammerstein play, starring Rossano Brazzi, Mitzi Gaynor, John Kerr and Ray Walston in the leading roles, with Juanita Hall as Bloody Mary, the part that she had played in the original stage production. The movie was nominated for three Academy Awards, winning the Award for Best Sound for Fred Hynes. It is set in 1943, during World War II, on an island in the South Pacific and contains a host of memorable songs that you may well know and love.
Tickets are on sale at the village shop at £5 or on the door at £6 (if there are spare seats). A beer/wine/soft drinks bar, and tea and coffee will be available form 7.00pm and the screening will commence at 7.30pm. We hope you will come along and enjoy this epic production along with your fellow Sandleheathers and our good friends from the wider community. We aim to have an enchanted evening.
We will not have a film night in August, but aim to restart in September. Details will be posted on the website in due course.
