A modern, well-equipped village hall in Sandleheath

The video element of our new AVS is now installed.

We are delighted to announce that the video element of our new AVS is now installed and up and running alongside the audio element, which was installed a while ago. It comes complete with a ceiling mounted laser projector and an electronically operated drop-down 250cm X 156cm screen giving easy viewing from all seating areas in the hall. The projector can also link with a laptop computer allowing all content, filed or on-line, to be projected. There is also a Blu-ray/DVD player for additional use.

The new system was commissioned to meet various needs and is easily operated, allowing us to host a new range of activities, such as illustrated presentations and community film nights, but also assist Hall users who are visually or auditorily impaired. We are sure these modern, comprehensive AVS facilities will make a big difference to the enjoyment and booking appeal of the Hall.

The complete AVS infrastructure has been funded thanks to the generous donations and grants from individuals and organisations who kindly responded to this specific £20,000 fund raising appeal. We are pleased to say that concluding this appeal also successfully marks the completion of our formal £220,000 Village Hall Refurbishment Programme, which commenced in early 2019. It's a significant moment. The new AVS infrastructure with all its modern facilities provides a fitting conclusion to our efforts to fully refurbish and equip our Village Hall.
